When not writing Fenton likes to cycle around Somerset, walk, run and bird watch in no particular order, and write on subjects that have had an influence on his life so far.

Reading is majorly important for Fenton from authors such as Henry Williamson, Engels and Hardy to the poetry of R.S Thomas; and of similar importance is the music of Neil Young, Thomas Tallis or Warwick’s finest, The Edgar Broughton Band.

Fenton lives in Somerset and is married with three children.
